Wochenendausflug nach Hampi
Freitag¬†um 11Uhr haben wir (Steffi, Micha und ich)¬†uns von der Majestic Bus Station aus mit einem “Super Luxury Bus” auf den Weg nach Hampi gemacht. In diesem Bus kann man die Sitze sehr weit nach hinten stellen, um ueber Nacht ein wenig Schlaf zu bekommen – ich konnte wegen dem geschuettel (Schlagloecher, Speed-Breaker, …) leider nur sehr wenig schlafen. Samstag morgens sind wir in Hampi angekommen, haben dort dann unser Zimmer bezogen und sind anschliessen etwas fruehstuecken gegangen.
Danach gings los, mit der Ricksha die Gegend erkunden: Hampi ist Weltkulturerbe und dort verteilen sich ueber ein Gebiet von 26 Quadratkilometern unzaehlige Tempel- und Palastruinen. 1343 war hier die Hauptstadt des hinduistischen K??nigreichs Vijayanagar und statt den heute etwas mehr als 2.000 Einwohnern, lebten hier mal zwischen 200.000 und 500.000 Menschen. Nachdem wir einige Tempel gesehen haben, sind wir mit einem Schildkroetenboot (eigentlich mehr eine Nussschale 
) an das andere Ufer gerudert worden – eine Bruecke ueber den Fluss hat man vor Jahren begonnen, fertig wird sie so schnell vermutlich nicht). Dort geht es 600 Stufen rauf, zum Monkey-Tempel: traumhafte Aussicht und jede Menge Makaken (so heissen die Affen, die eigentlich ganz Hampi und Umgebung bevoelkern und kaum Menschenscheu sind).
Kaum waren wir wieder unten, hat es angefangen zu regnen – fuer hiesige Verhaeltnisse zwar noch ein gemaessigter Monsun-Regen, wir haben es aber trotzdem recht schnell aufgegeben uns mit Bananenblaettern zu schuetzen und sind klatsch nass geworden. Die Nussschale ist zwar nicht untergegangen, aber die Stroemung im Fluss wurde doch so stark dass der Junge uns zwischendurch nicht mehr vorwaerts bringen konnte… Und obwohl uns etwas kalt geworden ist, war es eigentlich noch recht warm, vorallem das Wasser im Fluss (waermer, als das aus der Leitung in unserem Zimmer ^^).
Nachdem wir dann mit der Rickshaw zurueck ins Zimmer gefahren¬†waren und uns geduscht hatten, sind wir ins “Hampi roof restaurant” essen gegangen, eine Empfehlung ist das Wert – sehr lecker 
Anschliessend sind wir direkt ins Bett,¬†den¬† Sonntag haben wir mit einem ausgedehnten Fruehstueck im o.g. roof restaurant verbracht, dort noch Lena kennengelernt, die eine Asienrundreise macht. Zu viert haben wir dann zu Fuss die naehere Umgebung erkundet, sind einen Berg raufgeklettert und haben uns Nachmittags vor dem Regen ins “Mango Tree” gerettet, ein ebenfalls empfehlenswertes Restaurant mit wunderschoener Aussicht. Um 20Uhr ging unser Bus, der¬†am Montag morgen gegen 6Uhr in Bangalore ankam…
